Memory Post

1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll be sure to write one about you.

3. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

4. Please do this on your page too, so we can all share in the fun times together :-)

It is hard to pick one memory. When we were in High School we spent so much time together. The summer before my senior year, we work up early to go running, we then went to practice, then hung out at the mall, and we both worked at Delta Center together. If that weren’t enough, I went on vacation to Lake Powell with you and we went to EFY together. I had so much fun with you. You were like a sister to me. We even shared clothes. Then we both moved to southern Utah for college and had so much fun.

So my one memory is sort of a two part memory:

You had JUST started dating Randy. He had gone on a business trip and you and I were making the invitations to Brooke’s bridal shower. As we made the invitations, we talked about how you really thought you were going to marry Randy. You were suspecting that you would be getting married that winter. When he came back you had found out that he took a job offer there and you two were sort of talking about marriage.

We went up north for the bridal shower and on our way back we stopped by Randy’s house. We ate dinner with his family, and then he requested some alone time with you. I sat there in the front room for quite a while, knowing that he was probably proposing. When you came back you had a ring on your finger and you were more excited than I had ever seen you! It was so fun to be there right after and share your excitement as we drove the rest of the way home. You are so cute when you’re excited!!

I remember the Halloween party you had at your house when I dressed up as an old lady... so embarrassing but a good memory!

I have lots of really fun memories of colorguard and winterguard with you. Early morning rehearsals and late night competitions. It was all so much fun. Truly some of my favorite memories from high school.

BUT...

One of my faves would have to be a late Friday night we shared hangin' out. You were starting to like some kid; can't remember who is was...Jake Maybe?? Jeff Prince?? Can't remember, but they were playing baseball at a nearby park and you wanted to go and visit. Now, I can't exactly remember WHY I would have needed to borrow some of your jeans...because really? Wouldn't I have already been wearing some?? But for some reason, I needed to borrow some of yours...and when I so gracefully tried to put them on, I could hardly pull them past my thighs!! That's when I realized what a tiny person you really were!

Okay so I had to mention those memories of when oh who was it, me, you, Haylee, Jamie, and Brooke??? would all hang out and call Tyler Steadman multiple times a day cause we all had crushes on him and we'd walk across the field to his house. Oh yeah and we made him a cardboard cake for his birthday? Boy crazy girls, ha ha!!

I remember this one time at ward campout, Jennie Toolson and I were going on a hike, and you wanted to come with us. You were really little, but I can't really remember how old you were. Anyway, you were collecting these rocks, and on the way down the mountain you were running to get down faster. I told you not to run, because you might trip and fall, and yup I think you tripped and fell. I don't remember if the rocks made it all the way down the mountain however.

oops, Spelled her name wrong, It is spelled Jenny. I know it doesn't matter that much, but spelling people's names right is important, don't you think?

Some good memories with you would be visiting with your family in Missouri. You were so nice to take time off of work to show us around everywhere. We sure had a good time. Especially when a certain child of mine clogged the toilet and your dad asked you, "is this the only plunger you have?" Good times!
