For Sale!

It's official! We finally put up a "For Sale" sign in our yard. Now all we need to do is figure out what we're going to do if we actually have someone who wants to buy! Considering the fact that not many people come and go very frequently through Kidder, we may more time than we would like to figure out what the next step will be. For now we'll just keep doing the same old thing. Actually I was kind of getting excited yesterday because most of the snow was melting and it was warming up a little. I started thinking about how beautiful it is here in the spring and how much I will miss the quiet days at the park if we ever move. Then, it started snowing and the wind (the kind that just cuts right through you to the very core of your body) started blowing. I suddenly remembered how much I absolutely hate Missouri in the winter and wished with all my might that I could snap my fingers and immediately be some place warmer. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to keep wishing!!!

Meat Loaf Dinner

For just about the first time since I've been married to Randy his work schedule is such that he is home during the dinner hour (or I guess I should say 15 min. during the dinner hour). He gets home from school just in time to grab a quick bite to eat and then he goes back to work. Well, after a few weeks of having a disappointed husband because dinner wasn't ready when he got home I finally got the clue that I needed to start being a better wife and actually cook dinner. This afternoon I pulled out some of my favorite recipes and decided to make my most favorite Tex-Mex Meat loaf (Randy's favorite as well). It was a success! Not only was my dinner good, but I was also able to send off a happy husband to work. Then I remembered how I wanted to combine all my favorite recipes so I could share them with everyone. I finally have time now so I decided that I would start putting together a recipe book of all my favorites. If anyone wants to contribute their favorites just e-mail or call me with the recipe and I'll add it to the collection!

Bun in the Oven

This picture is for Mom. She wanted to see how big my belly has gotten so far. It may not look very big but it sure feel like it!! Rayden was my photographer so the pictures may not look that good. He has been fascinated with the camera these past few days. He went around the house taking pictures of almost every single toy he owns. Then he started taking pictures of all the furniture and household items sitting around. The first 300 pictures he took were all blurry because he didn't know what he was doing. The next 75 pictures turned out a lot better after I showed him how to hold the button down longer so the camera could focus.

Here are some pictures from the ice storm we had a while back. I just now found them on my camera and thought I would share them with you. For almost a week there was about 2-3 inches of ice around everything! Many towns lost power for a couple days. We were lucky enough to only be without power for a few hours and even then we had a generator to run our furnace.

Spelling

Rayden is learning how to write his letters and he is getting pretty good at it! He was playing with his leap frog alphabet pad one day while I was cleaning the bathroom. He came running into the bathroom saying "Mom, come here I wanna show you". He had spelled the word "sun" all by himself! Now if only I can get him to do his numbers. Everything is one, six, or eleven when I point to a number and ask him what it is. Oh well, he'll get it one of these days.

Baby Riddle

Okay, so most of you know that Rand and I are expecting another little boy in June!! I know you may be shocked that we actually found out this time what we were having, but we just decided at the last minute. I have to say, if I am blessed to have more children after this one I don't think I will find out until the baby actually comes out. I definately think it is more exciting that way! Anyway, we are absolutely thrilled to have another boy!! I think we have the name picked out already but if you think of any cute boy names let us know!!

So here are some pictures from the sonogram. The baby was kicking me the whole time. It was so weird because the kicks weren't hard enough for me to feel but I could just see my insides taking a beating from the baby. These two pictures are my most favorite. I especially like his little leg sticking up!
