Truly Blessed!

About a month ago Randy's brother called saying there was an ad in the paper for an opening for a Probation Officer. At first I really didn't think Randy would apply for it because he kind of already had a plan going for school and was thinking of taking his career in a different direction. Well, Randy has always been interested in working for the state because there are so many great benefits offered and he loves working with youth. Although he loves his current job and had hopes of moving up soon and working on his Graduate degree, he just couldn't pass up the offer and applied for the job. It was quite a process, while at the same time he was trying to apply for Graduate school. After weeks of waiting he got a call to have an interview.

Thinking our town was pretty small, I pretty much assumed in the beginning that he would get an interview because there couldn't be that many people applying for the job. Boy was I wrong to assume so quickly! I found out later that he was 1 of about 6 people who got called in for an interview out of the 150 people who applied!!!! I didn't realize that the job was posted all throughout the state! Anyway, I was so nervous after I found out how many people had applied and I honestly was scared he wouldn't get the job! I wanted so bad for him to get it because it would mean that our family could finally get on a normal schedule after years of crazy schedules! This job is basically a Mon-Fri, 8 - 5! That would mean I would finally have nights and weekends with my husband!!!! Oh how I desperately wanted him to get this job!

Let me just say, the last two days have been THE LONGEST days of my life just waiting to find out!! Randy and I both have been so antsy, and every time the phone would ring our hearts would start to pound and our stomachs would do flips! Finally the waiting is over....He got the JOB!!! At least this step of waiting is over. There are still other areas of our lives that still require more waiting but we are trying to be patient.

We still have to wait to see if Randy gets into Grad school. There are only 50 spots in the whole state and he still has to take one class that is required that he didn't take as part of his Bachelor's degree. Of course they will give priority to those who have all the requirements but they know he is taking the course and he'll finish it in two months!

Our little family truly has been blessed! Thank you everyone who has been praying for Randy over the past few weeks. He is so grateful to have so many wonderful friends and family who support him! Most of all we are so grateful for our Heavenly Father who watches over our family!

Dangerous Discoveries!

Hmmm....I wonder what this thing is? Another place for me to climb on and make a terrible mess? Oh how fun it is to climb up here.

What is that I see? Is that a bottle I see in there? A spatula? Ohhh, all of my favorite things in one spot!

I'm in HEAVEN!!! Oh mom, please don't ever shut this thing!

Enjoy'n the SUNSHINE!!!

Rayden and his cousin Oaklyn were so lucky to go to a farm and help gather the eggs. Grandma's friend invited them over to see all the farm animals. They had baby kittens, baby chicks, hens & roosters, and horses. They had so much fun! Rayden was a little scared to hold the baby chicks but it was a little wild one.

Ryker just loved the swing at the park! I was a little nervous to put him in it because Rayden never really liked the swing when he was little. It always scared him. Not Ryker....He laughed and laughed and laughed!

Rayden saved up his money from doing his jobs and also his Easter money and money from Grandma and he bought a BIKE! He loves it. I can't wait to go on family bike trips!

This little guy is getting sooo BIG. Doesn't he look so Handsome!

Anxiously waiting

Okay, I am past my annoying day...Thank goodness! Movies and popcorn are grrrrrreat therapy for me! Now I am on to a new stage.....WAITING. That's right, just waiting, waiting, waiting.

Waiting for our house to sell.
Waiting for Randy to see if he gets into Grad School.
Waiting to see if we get a new job or what the current job has for the future depending on Grad school.

Isn't waiting just fun!!!!

On to other news, Rayden only has two more weeks of Headstart Preschool :( I am so sad because he absolutely LOVES it. I don't know what I'm going to do with him home all day, every day, all afternoon. I'm going to have to come up with fun ideas!!! Just so you know, I'm not very good at that. I guess we'll just have to spend a lot of time at the park or out in the sand box!

Ryker is still a little sick :( I think he is finally on the up swing. The nose isn't quite so runny today and he actually is playing really well without screaming all the time! The week is finally coming to an end thank goodness. Since it is work day I better get to work and clean that darn bathroom I've been putting off for.......I'm not exactly sure how long (GASP).

ANNOYING

Are you ever just SO annoyed that you just can't stand it? I'm having one of those days. Everyone and everything is just driving me MAD. Maybe because I've been home with a sick baby all week and the weather has been soooo YUCKY!

I think I'm ready for this week to be over, how about you?

At first I thought that maybe it's just that time of the month because that is usually when I get annoyed, but it's not! I guess it will just have to be a night where I get a fun movie for me and the kids, make some popcorn and possibly some orange julius and just RELAX!

Our Easter weekend adventures....

Here it is...pictures from our Easter weekend adventures. We actually had a full week of Easter fun. We started off the week coloring Easter eggs for F.H.E. The cousins came over and we had a blast coloring eggs and decorating a bunny cake. It ended up also being a birthday celebration for cousin Brittyn.

Grandma had so many different colors to dye the eggs and the kids loved finding what surprises grandma drew on the eggs before they were colored.

Here is the cute little bunny cake. I think it turned out pretty good for being thrown together at the last minute! The kids loved it, especially Brittyn. He picked out the color...Blue! I've never seen a blue bunny before but I guess there's a first time for everything!

Our next adventure for the week...ROCK CLIMBING! Oh we just love that there is so many great climbing spots in Utah and we don't have to drive all day just to get to them! I must say, having a baby while on a climbing trip isn't the most fun but we managed. Here is little Ryker catching some z's. He didn't get too many of those during the whole weekend and now we are paying for it. He is sick and also having a rough time getting back on schedule. Darn those schedules.

Randy had some fun repelling in some slot canyons with his buddy Dave while mom and the boys hit the stores! Luckily for mom the kids were angels at the store!

Ryker LOVED the dirt! And everything else he couldn't have...rocks, leaves, sticks.

Our next adventure was camping with the Riddle's! Let's just say by the time camping came, mom was worn out! It wasn't the best camping trip ever but I'm sure there will be more exciting ones to come as the weather gets warmer.

Here's the Riddle family (all except RaNell)

Ryker doesn't look too thrilled....Mom is actually putting on a fake cheeser (I felt how Ryker looks)

Rayden sure loved the camping. He loved playing with cousins and playing with all the toys he got in the Easter hunt. The Easter Bunny left so many sage brushes full of toys, candy, & MONEY!

We ended the weekend with a wonderful relaxing Easter Sunday. We enjoyed a wonderful church meeting where we could remember the Savior and the sacrifice he made for us. Most of all we cherish the true meaning of Easter that HE LIVES and LOVES us!

Like Father...like son!

Home Depot visited the school and helped the kids make bird houses. Rayden was so excited that Daddy was there to help him with his! I just love this picture of Daddy and Rayden together. They look like twins with their haricuts! Rayden said the other day, "I want pokey hair like Daddy!" Randy convinced me to let him cut it a little bit shorter than usual. Rayden was so excited to have Pokey Hair!

This is a classic picture of Rayden with his tongue hanging out....another thing he gets from his dad!

When Rayden got home from school he was so excited to show everyone his birdhouse. He showed Grandma and Grandpa and even Great Grandma and Aunt Tyla who live accross the street! He even got to keep the Home Depot apron, which he was so excited about. I don't know what I would do without his wonderful preschool teachers! He abolutely loves Preschool!

"JUMP" start on Easter

We got a little jump start on Easter this year. Rayden was so lucky to be able to go to an early Easter egg hunt with his cousin's Rylan and Kylie. We had such a fun day and luckily the weather was just perfect! Rayden got to see the Easter Bunny and he even got to see and pet a little bunny.

The kids had so much fun getting easter eggs and playing games! Rayden is so excited for the Easter bunny to come next weekend! He is finally old enough to really understand all these holidays and I have to say it is hard for me to get used to it. I grew up the youngest of 6 kids and so I always knew there wasn't such thing as fictional characters. It is fun for me to live out those surprises that I never had through my own kids! I just hope I don't ruin it by not being careful.
